I saw the latest ad for CTA 1.2,

Wondering what’s involved with HTML5 conversion - what is the recommended pipeline and tools?
Can I get similar effect like the popwidget with HTML5?
(Don't see WidgetCast support for this output...)

Also - is there a demo of how the flash game was prepared? What’s the pipeline for that also..?

Thanks!

CTA has now a swf export function. If you are a flash user you can now import from CTA to flash, a sfw animation clip in vector format. Then use it as movieclip.

So, the pipeline for that is , you make with CTA animation content, and the swf exporter is the brigde to flash.

It is easier to animate and lip-syncing a character in CTA, as like in flash.

Thanks for your answer but I am not sure we are talking about the same thing :ermm:

I asked about :
1)a pipeline for HTML5 output (not flash)
2)a pipeline for flash GAME creation

- meaning what other programs are involved in the making of each output

Thanks again :)

Actually, you talk about two different things

1.here a info about html 5
http://www.switched.com/2010/05/11/what-is-html5-and-why-should-you-care/

2. for creating a Flash-Game, you needed Flash or a similar aplication with actionscripting and you had to compile the game as swf file.

is there a way to generate HTML5 code from a CTA creation?
something that i can copy paste into my website that would produce similar visual effects like it was flash?

(for it to work on iOS devices for example).

I'm sorry english is not my language, but I try to explain again :)

If I have you understood right, you want make flash games for ipad & co.?

iOS devices can’t support the Adobe Flash
and HTML5 is not a "Flashconverter" for that, if you think so

but, with HTML 5 you could embed video without a plugin. So you can exported a CTA movie and you embed it with a video tag in your website
I think, for safari it is the mpeg4 format.

But HTML5 is not standard yet, and it is only talking what would be in the future

For iOS gamemaking, you can use CTA for creating graphic content ,but you can not make games with CTA alone. You need a external engine for scripting and compiling.

I am aware of Flash situation with ipad / iphone and I know it doesn't work...

I can tell you that HTML 5 is supposed to be more advanced than what we are used to and actually you can program animation and actions like flash - and it works with iOS devices...

in this link :
http://www.reallusion.com/event/11-crazytalk_flash_animation/default.asp

Realusion is saying that CTA can be used in the process of app making - and I was hoping that they would clarify and give more details about the programs they use and the methodology that they recomend, maybe make a Video demo of how an app is built using the CTA material....

For example - this is a flash to HTML5 converter that google is making: http://swiffy.googlelabs.com/

it is supposed to be able to transform flash movies and apps to HTML5 so that they would work on devices that don't support flash... I managed to conver a flash movie and it seems to work, but i don't have experience with flash app / flash game creation so i don't know how it works in that level... which brings me to the secnd topic - flash games:

in this link:
http://www.reallusion.com/event/11-crazytalk_flash_animation/application.asp#NOW

they show an game "Crazy Glutton" which is built using CTA - again - how was it done? in detail... a demo or something :) how difficult is it to make ?

Thanks for your relys so far, but i think this may be a more advanced topic and since Realusion is advertising things on them - it should be better explained by the relevant people in a demo / tutorial.... I hope they do that soon - this could be very interesting for a lot of people.

Amir.

I have make a little flashgame with Crazy Talk already, not a app (because I have no mac)
,but the process is the same.
So I think, I knew about I wrote :D

Process > you make graphics elements (eg. with CTA create the actor) and scripting the Action and Events , with a programming language tool.

Realusion is saying that CTA can be used in the process of app making

The RL advertising mean the same what I say
For iOS gamemaking, you can use CTA for creating graphic content ,but you can not make games with CTA alone. You need a external engine for scripting and compiling.

For App-making you need xcode and a mac computer ( see the link above)

Without knowledge in code scripting you can not make a game and it is not a short way to learn this with one tutorial, or so.:)

btw here is a free Flash Gamecreation Tool and No Coding Required! iOS support is on its way, too :w00t:

http://www.stencyl.com/

Here a short begin workflow for that : your Game actor and his animationsequence created you in CTA
Then you exported it as a png sequence. Those images used you in the stencyl player tab....
