I think the way to do this on you tube is here:

http://marketingmingle.com/149/youtube-call-to-action-overlay-%E2%80%93-how-to-get-a-free-ad-on-your-videos/
YouTube Call To Action Overlay – How to get a FREE ad on your Videos?

this is how you set it up. Of course you will need a YouTube account, you will also need an Adwords account, however, this setup will not cost you a thing.

Here are the steps:

Step 1. Go to https://ads.youtube.com and click the button “Add Promoted Videos to my YouTube Account now!”

Step 2. Once in there, click on “Create a New Promotion”

Step 3. A list of your videos will appear, either select one [1] or upload a new one [2]. Read the T&C of course and click “Next, I agree” [3]

Step 4. Write your promotion, just like you would write an Adword or PPC promotion [1]. Select the thumbnail you wish to display [2] and then click “Next” [3]

Step 5. Now add your keywords [1] one per line and click “Add to List” [2] when you are done. When you have added all your keywords click “Next” [3]

Step 6. Set your CPC to $0.01 [1] and then click “Next” [2]

Step 7. Review your promotion [1] and if everything is OK click “OK, run my promotion” [2]

Step 8. Select your promotion by clicking the checkbox [1] and then click the “Pause” button [2].
Your promotion will now show as paused in the Status column [3] then go back to your YouTube account by clicking the YouTube link [4]

Step 9. Go to your videos by selecting it from the drop down menu [1]

Step 10. Click “Edit” [1] for the video you have just set up the promotion for

Step 11. Now fill in the Headline [1], Description [2 & 3], image URL [4], Display URL [5] and the destination URL [6]. Now whenever your video is played it will contain the call to action and anyone who clicks on it will be taken to the destination URL you set in this form. Once you have done click “Save Changes” [7]

That’s it you’re done! Now every time your video is viewed the call to action overlay will be displayed. If you wish to change the overlay just go back to Step 11 and edit the details.

although I haven't tried this yet ... hope it helps

Hi
Im not sure if this can be done at all at youtube.
However, You can write the link/url just below the picture in text format and i have seen that it would work for someone.

Try to experiment, if nobody els come with a solution. You can mark the video privat in first atemt and then se how it works for you without going public with it. Hope this help a little. :)

1. Is there a way to place a url, maybe a button of some sort, that says, "Click to visit our site," in/on the video itself?  If possible, I would like to allow viewers watching via youtube to click on the video and go straight to my site.

My apologies if this has already been answered.  (I did a search first...I promise.)

And while I'm here...

2. How do I make the "model" smaller so that I can display more of the background image?

3. In the promotional videos, there is a frog giving a quiz (.swf file I think).  How on earth is this done?  I'd love to try it.

4. Just a rant...or complaint...but I wish the tutorials dealt with more basic stuff.  The ones that are up are great, but seem aimed at someone with a lot more basic knowledge than I have.  It occurs to me that if there were tutorials amounting to "Crazy Talk for Dummies" that a lot more downloads would be sold.  I'm a teacher who simply wants a cute talking cat or bunny rabbit that can explain fractions to little kids...not a web designer hoping to create an online series.  :)
