I created a candle flame, but it is much to large. I tried scaling it down through the individual partical keyframes, but the flame gets distorted. Is there an emitter setting I have to adjust too, so the flame retains it's shape? Thanks for any help, Chris

Hi Chris. I think 'Allpoint' sussed this out some time ago if I remember correctly. I tried a seach but cannot find a post so information may be on another forum. Just sit tight as he will log in sometime soon I'm sure. (I hope so because I'm currently having the same issue).

Here is a picture showing the settings I used to create my flame. The candle I did had a base yellow flame that I attached the Torch Particle to. Hope these settings are clear enough due to picture limit on the forum. width 3 height 6 emitter volume 2 2 2

Hi duchess. I can see your settings very clearly, thank you. However I cannot yet replicate your flame using that particle for some reason. I'll keep trying a few extra things out but thanks very much for responding.

After reading your comments gizmo I went and tried to recreate it all over again as mine I had made a few years ago. You are right the latest Torch Particle is not adjusting with those settings. So I looked back through my stuff and discovered that is was a Torch Fire that I had used but it was a very old version that came in the Effects Props Pack the original Reallusion particles that they issued prior to the Particle System that they now use.

For anyone interested, I have a PopVideo version that can be applied to a Billboard and it's easily sized. Plus you can move the camera around at any angle and with it being applied to a billboard, it will always face the camera. Halloween always brings out the need for flames, and this is the easiest way to do them. Direct Link to Youtubep.s. the link for download is here, but consider it a Halloween Hunt!

Thanks for the help everbody I've been messing around with the nobs and dials and managed to come up with a flame I'm happy with. It's based on Blaze01 effect. I'm not entirely sure what I did to get it to it's present state, but I know lowering the velocity made a large difference. Here's the settings... If this isn't enough info to recreate it, just let me know, and I'll see if I figure out what I did Thanks, Chris PS: Thanks for the flame Cricky I needed a flame to go with my chapel pack ( soon to be released ) so I had to come up with one of my own.

I didn't say I needed a flame for my four candles, I said I needed a frame for me fork handles. The old ones are the best. Hi Chris. I think maybe your info above is not correct or incomplete. It would be interesting if you could find your original route, for others, yourself and me. No hurry though. Sought out your work on the chapel first. We both have what we need for the moment. Regards.
