Couldn't find anything specific to 3DConnexion devices (http://www.3dconnexion.com).

Sure would be nice to see support for 3D Hardware Mice like the SpaceNavigator/Explorer in the various Reallusion products.

I agree - support for 3D mice like the SpaceNavigator would be appreciated. Smile

Once familiar with, and using, a 3D mouse you never want to go back to the old way.

Quote from 3Dconnexions website forum.

"We provide a free API, Application Programmer's Interface, on our web site, to make it easy for them to incorporate input signals from our devices into their software applications. "

Over to the iClone programming team.

Any word on this one? I just got a 3DConnexion device and am a little disappointed that IClone isn't set up for it.

Unfortunately I know of no plans at present to offer support for these devices.

3D mouse reduces my mouse clicks by 60-70% in Sketchup and Argile2. It's a must have especially in iClone production pipeline where users need to switch mentally between 3-4 programs each with their own XYZ and WASD. It unifies navigation languages across multiple applications and frees the mind to focus on creative tasks, which is what we're supposed to be doing anyway.

I would really, really love to see IClone5 adopt 3Dconnexion's controllers.

I can not understand why the team does not implement iclone use 3Dconnexion mouse. I feel that my ability is reduced without 3dmouse. All is more difficult and slow
THE QUESTION IS:
1. is difficult?
2. incompatible
3 do not wish to

+1. Not only 3dconnexion, any game controller for camera would do it. I'd like to control camera with some game controller, because camera on path or any other 3d camera is just too artificial for any serious work. Please take a look at craft director studio (http://www.craftanimations.com/products/craft-director-studio) for some inspiration...
