I’m trying to make my front facing horse character walk towards camera. It seems as though there’s no support for using motion files or importing any 3d motion files for quadrupeds. But I’m sure that can’t be the case and I must be missing something. Can someone help. Also when trying to keyframe animate it with the 2d animator tool it is nearly impossible to get a axis movement for the forward motion horse walk and when I attempt to manipulate the bones even to give the illusion of walking forward there’s no way to compress them without it bending in some unpredictable way. Any solutions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi...

Unfortunately you can't use 3D motions with quadrupeds.

However, to simulate your character walking forward, try switching to 3D View from the top toolbar and then move your character backwards along the Z-Axis so it appears further in the distance. Then simply move to the required keyframe on the time line and repeat the step, this time moving your character forward on the Z-Axis. Doing this when combined with a simple walk animation will make it look like your character is walking towards the camera.

Thanks for the advice. I’ll give it a try Peter.
