In learning iClone, I’ve gotten to  the stage where my character talks via an audio file while moving via a motionclip. I’ve recorded a script in the form of a number of short audio files, but  now I need to know how to insert them consecutively. I can’t figure out how to  add the second one so that it picks up where the first one left off. Is there a  way to make the audio appear in the timeline, with start & end frames? I  see that the AccuLips manager does something like this, but it doesn’t seem to  solve this problem. Do I need to pre-record the entire script of an animated  video all in one audio file?

I’m using iClone 7.93, but from  watching tutorials I note that many of the basic features are the same as in  iC-8.

Did you enable the Viseme tarck for your character in the timeline? That is where you'll find the audio clip for the dialog. You can then position youtr cursor after that and insert the second clip.

I do the timing outside of iClone and create one audio file per speaking character. However, my scenes are hardly ever longer than 1 minute, and for each scene I have a project file. Unless you have a short movie, splitting the film up like that makes it more manageable.
