Hello!
I have purchased Character creator 4 + Headshot 2 bundle for my game design project.
I understand the licensing of the additional content from the store, such as hairstyles, clothes etc.
However, I am a bit unsure about these things:
1. If I create a character in Character creator 4 but don't use any content from the store (only use the included content and tools, or perhaps clothes I have made myself), do I need to buy any licenses?
2. Do I need to buy any licenses for the Headshot 2 or the Character creator to use the created characters, or are they already included in the bundle? (Is it even possible to buy licenses for the applications themselves or only for the additional content from the store?)You only need to purchase licenses (Standard/Extended) for applicable content purchased from the Content Store or Marketplace. You don't need additional licenses for content included with CC4 nor for the applications and plug-ins themselves.
3. I'm not going to create any in-game character customization options as I know it's not allowed without the enterprise license. I will only change clothes when changing the environment for example from warm climate to a winter scene. Am I allowed to add wearable equipment, like for example a helmet or a bullet proof vest if the player has found these items in the game world and decides to use them? Can I place selectable weapons or other objects in character's hands? (all these objects and equipment are added in Unity afterwards and they are created by me or bought from somewhere else).
Adding wearables to a character is permitted provided it is not in the form of character customizer screen. For example, if you find a wearable and it goes into an Inventory system with other found items, that you then later apply from a customization screen, then that would not be permitted without an Enterprise license. But if the character finds a wearable and they begin wearing it immediately via a yes/no type option then that is fine.
For accessories these can be applied to your character without any restrictions. Note: Accessories, props and motions do not require any additional licensing. They can be used with just the Standard License.
I hope this helps.
