Working on a project for the next few months that's using CC characters and have been doing some studies in lighting them. I might end up with a few so thought I'd start a thread.
In game dev a lot of focus is placed on lighting environments but not as much on characters. The most obvious area that is missed is skin tones which results in characters looking weird. Turns out humans are pretty good at picking skin tones that don't look right.
These images are a bunch of lighting and camera tests done in Unreal. Tried different len's from wide to macro and tried to approach it like an actual photo shoot. It really does show the quality of the assets and how well the hold up & respond.
Hopefully nothing here breaks community guidelines :-(

Yeah , light is soooo important. I also did a lot of lighting tests with CC Characters in UE4/5 and I have to say that CC Characters work very well in Unreal Engine !
