Greetings. I primarily utilize pre-made clothing from both the Reallusion and Daz stores, however, I consistently encounter challenges with the physics simulation.

One recurring issue involves certain parts of the clothing clipping through the model's body. I will provide images illustrating this problem. Additionally, some Daz3D clothing items consist of multiple layers, which presents another obstacle. When there are multiple layers, such as one for the main body of the garment and another for the hems or other details, complications arise.

I am seeking guidance on resolving these issues and identifying areas where I should focus my practice to overcome such challenges in the future. For weight mapping, I primarily utilize the Reallusion Blender plugin.

The cloth simulation in iClone is only usable for very limited cloth animation, for example loose parts of fabric hanging from the body, like a simple skirt or a cape. Internally it uses simplistic collision shapes, similar to video video games.

For highly detailed cloth physics you better use specialized software like Marvelous Designer or nCloth and Maya.
