Can someone tell me what's happened here.

The lady on the right, was an exported model before the 2 updates we were pushed this week and a animation assigned to it in Unreal, so all good.

The one on the left is what happens now. Its not Unreal, because if I re-import my old model its fine, but the latest CC4 export I get this weird eye/mouth pop out as soon as I assign an animation. If I place the new skeletal mesh on the viewport its fine, its just when an animation is assigned

Report the bug as suggested:

Just to be sure, I uninstalled CC4 and Unreal 5.4.4 and re-installed them both

After some investigation it turns out to be the 1.36 plugin

The video show here where 2 new projects on unreal 5.4.4, one has the 1.36 plugin and one has the 1.35 plugin.   On 1.35 with unreal 5.4.4 it all works, but the latest plugin breaks the model.

I used the default Camila model from CC4 with no changes to it and exported the mesh as Unreal

The animation is from Reallusion Actorcore but it breaks on 1.36 with all the animations

Hi, Mike_1
Could you please let me know if the Camila FBX file was exported from CC4.4 or CC4.5?
And is the motion you're using downloaded from the ActorCore website?

thanks,

It happens with either 4.4 and 4.5 and I used the 'Groove 02' animation from Actorcore in the test

I think I know what it is.

If I export an animation from CC4.5 its fine, but I have been downloading packs from Actorcore because I can get them as one FBX pack instead of having to export them from CC4 individually.

As you can see the example from the Clumsy move pack, from CC4 its fine, but from the Actorcore site, it screws up.  It does it all packs 10 packs I've bought from Reallusion

They work fine on 1.35 but on 1.36 the actorcore downloads all screw up when exporting for Unreal.

It also seems to do it on any fbx animation that doesn't come from CC4

Hi, Mike_1

We have confirmed that the issue originates from Auto Setup version 1.36. If your character was loaded using version 1.36, this problem will occur.
The main issue is that version 1.36 changes the retargeting option to "Animation," whereas the correct setting should be "Skeleton." You can manually change it to "skeleton" and reload the motion. We plan to release a new version next week to address this issue.
