Hello guys,

I have searched this thread and there seems to be a ton of issues when importing hair in UE5.

I also have a problem with it, this is the way my hair looks inside CC4, it's smooth enough.

And this is the way it looks in UE5, using Auto setup tools

It looks like, when imported, the hair cards are unified in a few big hair cards, instead of the many small ones that existed in CC4, and this creates jagged edges.

Things I tried:
Importing the textures and applying them manually (without auto setup tool)
Subdividing (smoothing) the hair to increase its polygons in CC4
Adjusting the physics settings inside UE5, in the clothing tab of the skeletal mesh (the hair looked way worse before doing that, but still it's not nearly good as it looks in CC4)
Repainting the cloth physics entirely inside UE5 (many times)

Is it just a difference in the way the two softwares render the same thing? If so, can't do much.

Any input is welcome, I am out of ideas.

When you figure it out please let the rest of us know. Groom hair seems to be the way to go. Also, I cannot make this style of hair look good with the path tracer in UE5.
