Heya Folks,

Here's a couple of images of Dinosauldier, a concept i'm using for the contest, he's a Nazi experimental abomination, created in 1942 by Nazi scientists that have stumbled on ancient alien tech.
i've used some reference imagery to get myself going, and spent some time trying various shapes that could make the Dinosauldier look a reptilian with humanoid hints.

I also wanted to maintain the aesthetic of the German Afrika Corp uniforms. I did toy with full uniforms, but it just took away any possible horror to the designs, so I opted for trousers and webbing.

Having decided to go for a half clothed version, I toyed with giving him a longer neck, im still not sure on this yet, although I do think this gives him a stronger outline as a dinosaur.

I have worked up a concept of Dinosauldier with Webbing, an STG42, some webbing and a cloth covered MG34 on his back.

Now to begin piecing the bits together, should be exciting, looking forward to making this chap!

So ive started to plan out the block shapes to help shape the head using Headshot 2 in CC4, im using some rough geometry to get together the outline of the head before taking it into mudbox for some rough sculpting.




With the base shape of the Dinosauldier head, im now going to take it into CC4 and see if I can wrangle up a dinosaur head connected to the humanoid body,

With the Shapes aligned and a bit of extra sculpting and playing with slider shape values, I've managed to extract a good base shape im looking for.
now to take it into Maya and attach some extra parts, including the tail., im going to use the base textures and UV layout to help guide the texturing UDIM process ready for Substance Painter.

After a bit of consideration, I decided to re-model the hands and feet of the character.
Next i'm looking at blocking out the weaponry and clothing for Dinosauldier.
