Hey everyone! My name is Oscar, and I'm excited to be participating in the Reallusion Character Contest for the second time. If you're curious about my first entry, you can check it out here. https://www.artstation.com/artwork/5XZXkJ.

This time around, I'm entering the Character Design Category with a focus on realism. I've chosen to create the "Nuka-Cola Girl," originally designed by Senior Concept Artist John Gravato. She's a classic 1940s pin-up girl with a 1950s Space Age twist.

Take a look at my mood board! I've gathered some great references for both the character and her essential assets, like the blaster gun. The gun is just as important as the character herself, and I can't wait to bring them both to life.

I started with the CC3+ Female Base. I felt the body proportions were pretty good, so I just made a slight adjustment to the height. Most of my time was spent on the face, tweaking the settings until I got it just right. Adding the makeup and changing the serious expression to a smile really helped me achieve the look I wanted.

I used the incredibly useful CC Goz Plus plugin to send my Base Character to Zbrush. There, I created a HairBase that I'll use as a foundation for HairCards later on.

Additionally, I designed the Base Clothes, both the top and bottom parts. Luckily, the outfit was straightforward, allowing me to recycle a significant portion of the original topology mesh. This will save me a lot of time when I send it back to CC4 and it remaps the weights.
