I've recently installed iclone 8 and today I went to start a new project when this weird bug happened.
Every prop that I place in the view area, start to move of its own accord. See video. And there seems to be no way to stop it.
For the sake of time I have transferred back to iclone 7 as I need to finish a project, but this is disappointing that my first go at getting to grips with the software starts with a bug.

Hi...

This is a strange one. I've never encountered an issue like the one you show and still can't reproduce it now in 8.42.

Do you have any python scripts running?

Also are you using a 3D controller or similar device? If you are, try disabling and just use a standard mouse and keyboard to see if the problem is still there. It would also be wise to completely shut down your computer then restart to see if the issue stops.

I had a similar issue, i think about a year ago. Turned out i had a faulty keyboard. Somehow liquid had spilled onto the keyboard, so some keys were sending wrong signals to iclone. You might want to try using a different keyboard. Goodluck.

I'm using multiple other application that require keyboard input, and none of them show the same error. So I am fairly sure that it's not the keyboard.
What would be the keyboard shortcut to move the object like that?

I don't have any python scripts running.

After a reboot, I disconnected all USB devices, apart from standard keyboard and standard mouse.

Ran iClone8 again and the problem  was gone. So it does seem as though one of my USB devices was short cutting on the Move transform areas. Is that possible to interface USB devices to this dialogue area? And if so, is it possible to disable that function so that I don't get this again?

UPDATE: So I started plugging back in my USB devices and one of them, on my sim racing rig, must have been the culprit as when I turned on the main power for the rig, iclone acted up again.

Not sure which device it is, I will have to unplug them one by one to figure that out.

I had the exact same issue, I'm so glad I found your post because it made me realise I had a wired xbox controller plugged in, and that was causing the issue
