Hello everyone,
I would like to point to an awesome Terrain-Generation software with newly added features especially interesting for Iclone Users.
Terresculptor 3 has everything a good and easy to handle Terrain Generator needs, from loading Heightmaps over creating unique Color maps to terrain export into a huge number of different formats.
The software has an insane number of options on creating everything you need for custom Terrains for Iclone. You either can easily create custom Terrains or even Splatmaps
for use with the inbuilt Iclone Terrain system. There is a free Demo available (see below) , Version 2 is completely Free, but i highly reccommend Terresculptor 3 because of the recently added
OBJ export. I talked to the Devs and they made their OBJ export especially suitable for Iclone/CC. An FBX exporter is in the work and will be implemented in the upcoming Release. (expected this Weekend).

The Beta is updated almost every day, new releases come out about every week.
(The BETA can be installed by simply overwriting the exe in the application folder)
Hint on usage:
Generate a Terrain, import it into CC4 via OBJ (including Diffuse and Normal map), no need to create UV Maps in CC4 anymore or Blender , if nessecary (too large or too many vertices)
make the terrain smaller via the poly reduction tool in CC4, then export it to Iclone. Escpecially the Terresculptor 3 Splatmap feature is interesting for working with the Inbuilt Iclone Terrain system.
Please dont use this thread for software discussions. Its just a short introduction to a software that i think its worth buying especially for Iclone users.
I spend almost a week speaking to the devs to get the OBJ export running propely for IC/CC.
Note: The TS3 OBJ export even works better then expected, it makes the Metallic/Roughness Maps
editable immediately after import for example !) I know there is other software out there, but Terresculptor has immediate support on almost any issue, the devs are very friendly and helpful and have an open ear for anything
thats on a users mind (Really !)
