Something that i was not able to fix.
I have a rigged humanoid character with these shoulder plates. When using the plates as part of the character
the mesh becomes twisted when animated. (raising arm) When using the plates as an accessory i can only attach them to
the spine but as result i am even more limited to animations.
Transfer Skinweights is not available on Humanoids, i was hoping to solve the problem this way, treating
the Acc as a shirt or something.
How would you make the shoulder plates (they are one single object together with the chain) properly
move with the shoulders ? Perhaps there isnt a soultion for this at all ?

You should not be limited to attaching accessories only to the spine. Try attaching to the upper arm.

The problem is, that the chain is running toward the chest spanning across multiple bones, means you cannot use those chained plates as an accessory.
It has to be skin weighted outside of CC.
And not only with simple weight transfer, but using advanced techniques to weight it properly so that it looks more or less acceptable with animations.

Thanks for your replies ,

I must have overseen the Upper Arm Bone. That was pretty much a solution, looks a bit weird when moving the arm too much, but
better then before. The chain is still in the way though.

For the chain action you have to dive into rigid physics with constraints. Might be painful to grasp though.
There was a tutorial somewhere at the forum. But eventually it might look something like that.
