CA4 for Mac. I have a very simple custom character I created. All I need to do is attach the bone structure I created to the sprites. The bones are gray which means they're not attached to anything and for the life of me, I can't figure out how to attach them.

And my mouth shapes do not match the mouth shapes in the lip sync window so it's off when my character speaks from an imported audio file. In the attached image, you can see that 'W_OO' is linked to a closed mouth. In other examples, when my character makes an 'OH' shape, that's attached to something entirely different.

That's all I need to do and can't find the info through tutorials or digging through the program. Hi my friend,

I recommend redesigning the character sprites for a better result.  It's a bit of work to do redesigning but the over all the result will be much better.

Thanks for your reply but I'm not sure how that would help. Each body part is a different sprite (arms, legs, body, eyes, eyebrows, etc.). I just can't figure out how to attach the bones to them. How do I do that? I have a bone structure but it's not connected to anything.

Also, I have all the appropriate mouth shapes but they're connected to the wrong phonemes in CA so how do I remap them?

Have you followed the tutorial below which takes you through setting up your FreeBone character? If you follow the tutorial the bones should be correctly attached.
