Hi folks, Ever since yesterday, CC and iClone have both suddenly decided to work in slow motion. At first I thought it was linked to my projects, but I just tried loading a single character onto an empty grid and same; everything just moves with a kind of slow, undersea grace. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling both softs; to no avail. I've run a virus scan on C and D drives, external SSD, erased everything in the temp folders on C (using prefetch, temp and %temp% on run window). Still nothing. The only bad thing I did before these issues was log onto a Starbucks wifi network (which really messed with my VPN), but besides that... nada. Does anyone have any idea what is going on? Because I am just about to call an airstrike on my ASUS laptop. Thank you for your time. D.

It would help to know your system specs. Also, if you have an Nvidia GPU and have just updated the drivers that may be the problem. I had to go back to version 537.58 to resolve slowness issues and that was for a very powerful PC (128 B RAM, RTX 3090 GPU).

Thank you for getting back to me, Animagic. My laptop's specs are: AMD Ryzen 7 5800H with Radeon Graphics 3.20 GHz and a whopping 16GB of RAM. I fully know that this is a "skid row" type of configuration; but I've never had any problems until two days ago. It's interesting you mention NVIDIA because I could have sworn I had an NVIDIA graphics card due to all these automatic updates it would perform via GeForce experience. For some reason it seems to be gone now... Guess this is my first lead.

If you run dxdiag.exe you will get an overview of what you have as to display and sound. At the tool, click the Display tap and that will tell you. Another place to look is Device Manager, which should list the display adapter that you have. It is possible that the driver for Nvidia got messed up. I don't use GeForce but download and install drivers directly from the Nvidia website. I also seem to recall that with systems with built-in graphics the dedicated GPU gets ignored in favor of the built-in graphics. There was a post about this years ago but I don't remember the remedy.

Thank you for the info. Just ran dxdiag.exe and yes; the RTX 3070 isn't there. Guess it's not a fan of Starbucks. Think the best solution for now is just to uninstall and reinstall everything related to Nvidia. Will tell you how it goes.

Sorry for the late response. Problem was solved via a simple Windows update. Still don't understand what caused this whole mess, but everything is working as it did before. Thank you for your time.

@ animagicIf you don't mine me asking. For the Nvidia driver have you stayed with that version or have you updated with the May one? Because all of a sudden my iClone is moving horrendous and my specs are close to yours. My scene isn't using that much but the software is stalling a lot. It is getting unbearable.

I'm currently working on a newer PC with an RTX 4090 that is running Windows 11, and the latest driver does not seem to affect iClone speed. I haven't tried this driver on my other PC with the 3090 yet.

Thanks.
I have 4070 and still on Win10 Pro with 128 GB Ram. I noticed with the timeline when I hit play and stop it would go non responsive for a moment. But from Task Manager and iClone internal report it's barely using any resources. It only a character and some particle effects in the scene. 😐
Maybe I will just try the rollback.
Update: Appears the project itself was corrupted somehow. Import the project into another project and no issues.😞
