Hi,

I've download some animations and unchecked the "move in place" box. However, when I import the .fbx files into maya, the character just walk in place. How do i get them to move forward without manually adding keyframes?

Which motion clip are you having problems with? Checking the "Move in Place" box is only applicable if the motion clip moves away from the root and you want it to take place at the root. If the motion clip takes place at the root anyway then the "Move in Place" option won't have any effect.

It looks like I was using motion clips that had "zero-root motion". For future reference, if I check under the INFO tab before purchasing and it does not have the disclaimer about "zero-root motion", can I assume that the motion clip will move if it has xyz movement in the preview?
