Hi ,

I think I have identified the issue, which could be useful for others facing the same problem and might help reallusion check the import process?
To answer your question, I tried using prop because importing the motion and selecting Wondermotion from the dropdown would crash Character Creator or iClone.
Some FBX files worked while others didn't.

Here's what I found:
When creating a Wondermotion scene/project (on their website/app), if you choose:

   AI/Mocap/Blender/Maya or Unreal
the motion works and imports fine.

However, if you choose:

Camera Track (when creating a wondermotion project on their site)
the FBX doesn't import and crashes Character Creator/iClone regardless of whether you have included any of the above options.

It appears there's an issue with the FBX files generated when selecting Camera tracking as an output of a wondermotion project.
I can send anyone who wants to check the problematic files -  so far, I've reproduced the issue three times.

Steps to reproduce.
Download the actor 1 file from wonder studio
Drag it in to character creator (or iclone)
Choose Prop
The progress bar gets to 21% then crashes to desktop.

Hi...

I'm not really understanding your workflow as to why are you selecting Prop?  If you are bringing in a character you would choose Humanoid as the import option, and then you would drag the motion onto the Humanoid character.

Can you explain a little more about this. Thanks.

Hi...

The process shown in the video should work fine providing you put your character into a t-pose and map the bones correctly.

As well as the video, we have provided written instructions on doing this in the manual below. This has been tested and works so do give it a try.

Hi Peter
I seem to be encountering a similar issue. Character creator seems to crash when importing the actor 1.fbx downloaded from wonderstudio. It gets to about 20% then crashes to desktop. This means you can't adjust T-poses or anything.

Steps to reproduce.
Download the actor 1 file from wonder studio
Drag it in to character creator (or iclone)
Choose Prop
The progress bar gets to 21% then crashes to desktop.

I have also tried importing the motion via the wonder motion dropdown in character creator when applying to a character and the same happens.

I am using character creator 4.41

Hope you can help

Hi i having an issue with the animation from wonder studio. I saw a lot of tutorials on youtube that shows that you can import the animation from wonder into CC4 or unreal. The problem is that those videos are few months old and i saw the Bones hieralchy it has been changed with another. For example i can't import the mocap file directly to CC4 because it crashs and if i remove the cameras which are the problem of the crash, i can't get the A-pose from the animation in the other softwares like in this tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oM4XWgYAIUs&t=286s . Do you have any solution? Thank you.
Lorenzo
