whenever I use the animation control tool, and say change position of any body part, it happens so quickly!   How do I make the transition smooth and a little slower?  I try the transition tool, that says smooth in or out, and it doesnt make it any better.  Thanks.

Which "animation control tool" are you using?

Overall the speed of the movement is down to the number of frames on the timeline between point A and point B. So for example, if you are raising an arm from straight down (point A) to straight up (point B) and only leave 10 frames between each point on the timeline then the movement will be very quick. If you leave 100 frames between them then the movement will be slower. The key is adjust the number of frames between each point to get the desired speed of movement.
