Importing from FBX file without sequence does not bind bone base morphs. Jaw, eyes and head morphs would not work properly (you have add bone influence to those morphs manually). So it is best to use FBX with Frame Sequence. I am not sure how you rig additional bones in Blender, but that should not affect face blend shapes in any way. I did it way too many times and it should be working just fine. I have this old video for iClone and 3DXchange for butt spring: https://vimeo.com/manage/videos/764011097You cannot fully use it for CC, but at least you could see how I add bones and weight paint them.

Answering my own question here: If after importing Facial Profile, the sliders don't work. Instead of importing "FBX with Frame Sequence", just pick "FBX file": Batch Import: = fbx file Target Category = custom Check Replace all sliders with the same name This way of importing Facial morphs is working more consistently for me than choosing "FBX Frame Sequence" at this point

Thank you for this – It works for me if I don't weight the bone. If I do paint weights on the bone that was added in Blender before exporting, then the Facial Profile does not work when re-importing to CC4. I can still reference the FBX and import the CC4 extended facial profile, but afterwords I cannot move the sliders.
Is this expected?
Is there a workaround to this process that would allow me to add and weight the new bone in Blender, but still have some facial morphs (Extended or Standard) upon re-importing to CC4? I have iClone8 as well if that would help but I'm not familiar with how the facial animation profiles work as I have not spent much time animating in either program yet as I am still just working on a pipeline between Reallusion and Blender.
Thanks much for any info

So would love to know how you can add bones to a CC3+ please? The short answer is: you cannot. Standard CC characters may not have bones or geometry added/removed and preserve standard features at the same time.
If you change bones structure or geometry, then you may only import it back to CC as Humanoid selecting CC_G3Character profile from Drop-down. No Blender pipeline should be used in this case - straight CC import/export. And you'd loose DHS and all the benefits of Standard CC Characters.
Note: I do not have a latest pipeline scripts. It maybe possible to export CC3+ character as Non-standard from Blender with latest version of the pipeline.
This is the routine I currently use when I need to add bones/mesh to CC3+ in Blender and then convert to Humanoids.

Sorry I only realized there was a CC4 forum after I posted. The problem I am having is that that bones I have attached, show up as errors when loaded into CC4 on the Blender tool, while the Iclone8 fox tail tutorial never loads the bones as cc3+ as it needs a key, while importing as a non human is not what I want and if i do the extra bones don't appear in hidden

Hi... You have posted this in the iClone 8 forum but the tutorial is for CC4. Are you using CC4 when following along with the tutorial, and if so, please tell us at which point in the tutorial (timestamp) are you running into problems? Thanks.

I have spent all week trying to add spring bones to a cc3+ character, following the same tutorials How to Add Extra Bones for Humanoid Characters with Blender & AccuRIG | Character Creator 4 Tutorial (youtube.com)And I have even gone on and loaded the CC4 to Blender tools The authors (including RealIusion's resident video guy) never answer the questions concerning the errors and the fact no BONES created ever load just go un-answered.So would love to know how you can add bones to a CC3+ please?
