Any ideas on why these hands would be moving slightly at a certain offset when there are no actual keyframes (best I can tell) other than those set at zero?
There were keyframes past zero at one time, but I deleted them.
Removing ALL animation on the object fixes the problem (but it also blows away my viseme work), but I'd rather not do that.
Perhaps it's something buried in the "flattened"(?) sections highlighted in red below? Is there a way to clear out what's in there? (I didn't request any flattening. Somehow happened on its own).
Many thanks!

If you do not need any body animation, but just the first frame pose, then zoom the timeline all the way in, Break the clip at frame 1 and delete the clip on the right.

Thank you. I'll give that a try.

I will need to animate the character beyond frame 1, but I didn't want to go forward without getting rid of the weird movement and trying to figure out why it happened.

It seems like the key-framed movement and "non-key framed movement" - being mixed - are always doing battle with each other.
And the "flattening" seems to happen behind the scenes in various scenarios for some parts of the character but not others. My guess is that if you do anything with puppets you're going to get frame-by-frame recordings and not key frames...for some parts. Having both is not a "paradigm" I'm comfortable with yet (background is in 3ds, Blender, and Unity).
