Newbie Disclaimer: I started teaching myself Unity and programming only last February, and this is my first time working with Character Creator as well, so I'm assuming there is something fundamental and simple that I'm just overlooking as a complete and utter noob. I am using Unity 2021.3.20f1 with URP, and CC 4.31.2001.1.

I have created a family of characters in CC for a scene in my game, and in CC they look amazing:

But after I import them using the Unity Autosetup Plugin, they look...less amazing...:

They initially came out very plasticy and shiny looking, but I was able to correct that easily by taking the materials' smoothness down to 0. But the rest of the issues, I'm not sure how to fix or what I've done wrong to generate these results.

I have tried using both the "Export All" and "Export Clothed" options, and that didn't yield any different results. I also tried just importing the FBX files without using the Autosetup and just using the Unity default options to extract the textures and materials - that yielded slightly better results, but still not great (just going to show the wife for these examples):

I quickly figured out that if I hide the eye occlusion, that will get rid of the "possessed eyes" effect, but it still doesn't look great:

The hair in particular looks terrible (it's practically translucent), not to mention the fact that even after I reduced her breast size to the smallest I could in CC, her nipples are still poking out of the sweater, which is not particularly the wholesome family look I was going for in this specific instance, lol. The dad and daughter don't have the nipple issue, obviously, but the hair still comes out looking super weird. Definitely better than if I use the Autosetup (which you would think the designated plugin specifically made for importing characters from one program to the other would work better...), but still doesn't look anywhere near as great as they do in the original CC.

Any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong and how to fix these issues would be greatly appreciated!

When you exported the characters from CC4 did you first export (accidentally maybe) to Unreal or Maya?

There's a bug in CC4 where if you export to Unreal or Maya, any subsequent exports to Unity will write the Json material and texture data in the wrong format and the auto setup will fail to find anything. You have to restart CC4 to fix it.

So try re-exporting to Unity without exporting to anything else first. Also to hide the poke through, use the option Delete Hidden Faces (scroll to the bottom of the export window to see it)
