It seems the latest upate has created an issue with Unreal Engine 5.2 LiveLink with eye movement in Metahumans.

(edit) - it seems most facial functions are not working.  I do hope the Zbrush people are happy :(

Has anyone else noticed this problem?  Or is it just me?

According to the Release Notes, it seems the only change is the compatibility with Zbrush Face Tools. So no need to update if you don't use that.

Hi mate.

While I appreciate your feedback, I would have presumed an update should be additive rather than destructive.

Are you aware how I can roll back the update?  I dont have the install file for the previous version.

When installing through the HUB, installers are saved at the Temporary Path specified in Settings. They are kept unless "Automatically clean up installed installers" is checked.


If the installers are there, they will show up in the Temporary Path folder, as in my case:

You would uninstall iClone via the HUB (make sure to be connected to the internet), and then reinstall starting with most recent complete installer, which is iC830_Enu.exe in my case. In general, it would be called iCnnn_Enu.exe.

After that, you would apply the successive patches, so in my case iC831_Full_Patch.exe.

No problem here with the update and UE5.2 , maybe try to download the "Meta Human Live Link Kit" again and replace the "Face AnimBP" and "Face Archetype_Skeleton".

I've updated the graphic driver, reinstalled multiple times, unfortunately I don't have the older version installers in my computer any longer.

I can start new projects but the projects previously created don't open, the cc4 and IC8 software just crashes without any warning or error message.

Does any one have the cc4.31 and ic8.31 installers available? Reallusion dev teams needs to do better quality control before pushing out updates as many of us use it for production work. Have lost 2 days and delivery deadlines are looming...

Also, the restore file created by Character Creator and iClone actually doesn't save any information, it's just black blank project file. Please revert the software, release the older version installers, or release a HOTFIX urgently.

If you are having problems since the latest update, please first try uninstalling and then perform a clean install of the latest full version. This will eliminate any problems with the update procedure itself.

However, if the issues continue, please contact Support using the link below. They will help you resolve the problem, or they can normally supply older version installers if needed.

It seems an uninstall and re-install resolved the problem.

I also uninstalled Kaspersky and reinstalled as it has casued issues with Hub connects as well as Bridge connection inside Unreal Engine 5.2.

All is back to normal, short of some frustration.
