Hi... Create Script is available in the trial version but you must have a character selected for the button to become active.

I have to use one of the characters supplied? I tried it with a photo from my own files.

It can be any character that has been setup for facial animation. So that includes any of the included characters or a custom character you have created yourself from a template or by customising an existing character. However, you can't create a script for a static character image that has not been setup for facial animation or a prop etc. The tutorial below show s how you can customise a head which is ideal for those new to CTA5. https://courses.reallusion.com/home/cartoon-animator/character?v=crazytalk-animator-3-tutorial-quick-g3-face-customization
