Question is in the title but basically I have a character, he was customised within Character creator so all the assets are CC based. He's 212,000 polygons but I want him to be useable in a game engine so I'm running the wearable poly reduction tool but I'm finding it takes at least 10 minutes to convert things down by 50 percent. Is this normal?
I've watched videos where people are doing the same thing and yet it seems to take seconds and these are real time videos. I have a fairly good machine. It's got a 4090 Nvidia card, and top end intel processors. I guess the weak area is the RAM, 32gigs but I'm guessing that shouldn't be too much of an issue.
I'm also finding when it finally completes that it's made a mess of the textures on things like the eyebrows and beard. Is there a way to fix this?

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Peter
