Cartoon Animator 5.1 Known Issue for New Features

The following is a list of known issues in CTA 5.1, with major problems set to be resolved in future updates. Meanwhile, we are providing some workarounds with this thread.

【Launch Sprite Limitation & Workarounds】
  • Renamed or bone-adjusted elements in Illustrator do not update in CTA.
  • Because the eyes are composed of several layers, it is unable to launch from the Sprite Editor.
  • To maintain the original sizes of vector shapes that become too large after a launch or update, it is advisable to simplify their shapes using Illustrator.
  • If you encounter multiple layers on a single element while editing, make sure to flatten the layers into one.
  • CTA can crash if a layer name within your vector character exceeds 200 characters (Illustrator will automatically rename the layer).

Miscellaneous
  • To avoid image cutoff at the edges, utilize the crop function available in Photoshop.
  • The 45-degree angle depiction of a character carrying a sound format file indicates that a perform motion has been applied to them.
