the other problem I'm encountering is the orientation of pose B, which is not where it should be, Both are imported poses from Mixamo, and when I use pose offset to fix pose B, I end up screwing up the orientation for pose A. I'm at wit's end. what am I doing wrong??
The first picture is the creation of the pose in CC4, note that the character is on the "floor" at location 0,0,0. also not the rotation of the character.
the second picture is the scene, I'm working on in iclone 8.3, and the character that is where she needs to be in the scene.

now the third picture is further down the timeline where I need to pose to change and transition into, I dragged on and dropped the new pose into the timeline where I wanted the pose, I gave a few frames leeway so that I could tinker with the transition, BUT when I dropped the pose look at what happened, I get the character being at location 0,0,0 but why the flip, someone please help me.

I think this video will get you started.

Basically just go to Content - Edit Motion Layer - Pose Mixer. Set your frame in the timeline to your first position, then click Set Key.

Apply your second pose and move the timeline to the frame desired, and click Set Key again. By masking out certain body parts, you can do arms only and it is good for talking, or what ever suits your needs.
