Greetings all,

Am new to iClone8 and CC4 and I'm absolutely having a blast with the software. I'm creating a werewolf short and I need the model to look like they're growing out of their clothes.

How does one go about achieving animated cloth tearing with these software?

Any help would be appreciated!

Background: The model simply has a basic T-shirt. I'd like it to look like different parts of the shirt are tearing away in accordance to the Morph Animator (Ex: Models arm gets larger, shirt morph "tears" the shirt sleeve apart.)

The easiest way (relatively) is to create an opacity map for the shirt tear lines.
Set it to 0 strengthen and then close to the end of the morph animation, crank it from 0 to 100.
It would look something like this:

76% of original size (was 660x19) - Click to enlargehttps://forum.reallusion.com/uploads/images/1714fc55-9526-4c59-9147-3135.gif

In addition you may also stretch the shirt mesh along tear lines while making a morph for a bit more dynamics.
