I don't want to make it seem like I haven't used Headshot - I definitely have and with good success. Here's the issue: I have to use VERY specific pictures to make it work. It has to be a front facing headshot, where the lighting is just perfect and the model has her hair pulled back. If it's a man then it's better to be clean shaven. It's a massive handicap because it severely limits the number of pics I can use. Here's a perfect example. Below is a picture of Lais Ribeiro. She's world famous model and there are THOUSANDS of pictures of her online. I tried to pick the best one for Headshot:

Here's what that looks like in Headshot:

That looks NOTHING like her. Now - lest everyone think I'm taking a dump all over Headshot, let me show you what I did do.  I found a higher resolution picture:

And I put that into Headshot:

And I can use THIS.

The reason why I'm bringing this up is because of AI. I saw a looooooong thread about the rise of AI faces. And I agree - they're amazing. AI is doing some incredible stuff and, honestly, they're taking some of Reallusion's market. Why pay for expensive software when you can make BETTER looking images using AI for pennies on the dollar versus Character Creator. But if Realluision would IMPROVE Headshot to be more intuitive - maybe integrate some of that software into the Headshot plugin, they'd have a better product. And I wanted to SHOW just how much it takes to make Headshot work.

RL is working on an improved Headshot version. Release date is sometime this year, I believe.

And, AI is all very well, but it doesn't provide me with a CC-type character that I can animate in iClone, which is what I need.

Also, to avoid copyright problems, I don't use faces of existing people, but rely on ones that are AI-generated.

I am SO happy to hear they're coming out with a new version of Headshot!!! I can make the AI stuff work but sometimes I just don't like the faces I find on the AI sites. I don't worry about copyright because Headshot and all the other things I do will make the model look completely different. If I even post the stuff for anyone to see. This was just an example. And I prefer the Reallusion tools over AI for just about everything, but I especially like the 'feel' of having a rendered character.

You can use a cc4 character with no hair and use in Leonardo.ai in image2image tool. Then use the sliders to produce your new head shot.
You can also use prompts also. Then you can upscale the photo. Bring it back in to CC4 and add the rest of the skin details.

The AUTO mod can give you avatar really looking as your model but not out of the box, you need to work on it, change the texture etc... For my part Pro mod gives someone really different of the model. I hope new headshot will improve PRO mod results
