Hi All. Quick question: Has anyone ever calculated the distance the iClone terrains cover? I would have sworn someone posted that some time ago, but after running a search on the forum, I was unable to find it. Thanks!

It depends on the Terrain. The "Mesh Medium" Terrains are 100 x 100 metres and the "Hight Map_Large" are 250 x 250 metres. To see just how large an individual Terrain is turn the grid on (Crtl+G) and in the Preferences panel set Grid Spacing = 1000 cm and Grid Size = 1000. Next view the scene from the top by pressing G then zoom out and count the squares.

You can calculate this by matching the terrain with the grid, which has cells of 1 square meter by default. Doing so, I came up with a size of 250 by 250 meters, so not particularly large. This is for the heightmap terrains. Unfortunately, you can not scale the size. EDIT: Gerry was a tad faster...
