For the record, I am not anti-AI. It's actually quite amusing what people expect from it.
One thing to remember, AI-generated art may not be copyrightable, so that limits its use for clients that actually want to own something unique.
These issues are still being further reviewed by the
U.S. Copyright Office with requests for public comments.
The question revolves around "human authorship", which is a requirement for copyright. Here is a case of a comic, where the text is copyrightable, but the imagery is not, as it was done with Midjourney:

For this reason I keep slaving away in my old-fashioned way as I do not want my work to be part of the public domain. I'm also retired, thank goodness, so my job is not on the line.
