Hi all,
I have an issue when I try to use an FBX file to import blend shapes from Maya into the edit epresstion tab. I have a character that already has a ton of blendshape expressions that were created in Maya. But when I export using the FBX exporter and use the batch import in Character Creator it brings them in fine but they don't work as they should.
It's almost as if the axis for the blend shape models is at a 90 degree to the actual mesh. So for example if I try to make the characters mouth pull down it goes inwards and the mouth down slider makes the mouth goes outwards. I've tried changing the up axis in Maya to Z and also selecting the same axis in the FBX exporter but it still has the exact same result.

I've also tried manaually exporting .OBJ files for each blend shape but it doesn't seem to accept them. even if I generate a .OBJ key using the exporter.

Anyone have any ideas on how to resolve this?

Thanks in advance,

Peter

I think I've managed to solve this.  I noticed in Maya that the mesh as well having the blend shape nodes also had a skin cluster node. So I deleted that in the hypergraph and exported again and it's working now!
