how do we reimport stuff with textures and martials  ?

hi i just got bender and the blender plug in tools 
I would like to take one of the hair styles from the new pack https://www.reallusion.com/ContentStore/Character-Creator/Pack/3D-Model-Lite-Hair/default.html
and see if I can slim it down to a simple straight style like this one.


dose any one have a good beginners guide to blender or videos to recommend ? 
I used maya in collage(few years ago) so the concepts are not new to me but I have no blender experience 
any help would be appreciated.
