Hey everyone, so I'm really struggling to find an answer to this issue. I imported my CC4 character into UE4.27 and, for the most part, it comes in fine - except for the hands.  You can see in the images it looks like the bones of the thumbs are distorted and in the wrong place. You can see in the third image with a UE4 mannequin that the animation seems fine with that, so it's not the animation. So how do I fix this?

I just had a thought - that maybe I need to manually relocate the bones in CC4 before export perhaps? Not sure if that would actually solve the problem or make it worse though. But it would make sense if you have some bigger hands, as an example, you would have to move the bones into a different place.

Can't believe I'm the only one having this issue. I tried working with Reallusion's support team for a week and they were no help either.

I did a fresh install of UE5 and CC4 on a brand new computer, followed a new tutorial, and STILL having issues with the hands/fingers being warped to one side really bad. IDK if the FK/IK is getting messed up somehow but exported from both CC4 and Iclone and it's the same exact result. Could REALLY use some help at this point since their support had no solutions.

I agree with you on this.
I've always seen the thumb problem.
The best solution for now is to fine-tune the character by creating a new pose.
I also see more problems if I retarget the character to the UE5 dummy.
For example, there may be a problem with the middle finger, and the character looks a little crouched when walking.
I think Reallusion should add a separate export option for the UE5 model as well.
These finger problems also need to be solved urgently.

When you say fine tune the character lose, you mean in UE 5 correct? Any advice on how to do that? I thought about adjusting the fingers manually but outside of manipulating the bones, not sure if I could adjust the IK settings. Cause it seems like maybe they are the culprit somehow?

I honestly thought about building my own rig using Autorig pro in blender honestly. Maybe I would have better results.

Something else I noticed is that most of the tutorials never go past the initial importing process, they always end it there, and never seem to do any final cleanup, and I wonder if this is why. Would be nice there’s a tutorial that went through those kind of things after importing and rigging the character, and not leave people hanging..

You can change the pose of the fingers as I show in the picture.
