I have several props with hard and soft parts, rigged in Max or Maya with bones, controllers and morphs.  I am looking to import them into iClone to rig and use for animation.  For example, one of the props is the seatbelt in the screenshot below.  I exported the obj file from Maya, which gave me the correct parts as sub props and have been able to link the parts into a sensible hierarchy.   The belt part of the seatbelt was rigged with a linear bone structure in Maya so it could bend as a material.  I've looked at the forums and the tutorials for iClone and CC4 to find out how to rig the belt in a similar way but cannot find much on rigging props in the tutorials, nor the way to create bones in a prop object within iClone/CC4.  Can anyone offer guidance on the best way to approach the rigging of the part of the prop that has cloth properties?.  I've looked at using cloth simulation but even if that was possible my understanding is that the simulation is only active when playing the animation, not while actually animating, so I wouldn't be able to animate the hand gripping the belt and pulling it tight.  75% of original size (was 667x19) - Click to enlargehttps://forum.reallusion.com/uploads/images/e4679cf9-d5a7-4280-80fd-b914.png

I've realised what to do now.
