Sorry to hear this. This is certainly not normal. The update should not remove any content.

Have you checked using your Windows File Explorer to see if the content is still in the content folders you set when installing CC4 or has it been removed from your computer?

I too have lost all my content after upgrading to Iclone 8.2 and CC4.2. You're right Pete, this shouldn't have happened. Every time there is an update something screws up in Iclone. This really sux. I think I have found all my content in a folder under Iclone 7 but I am missing the hand to hand combat animations I was working with recently. Now I am stuck trying to finish my video. I have no idea why they don't have an Iclone 8 folder for all your stuff but they do not. It took me a while to figure out I that I had to go the Iclone 7 folder to find everything.

Sorry to hear you have also found missing content. This doesn't appear a general bug in the update because the majority of users don't seem to have to lost content when updating.

It may be that the link to your iClone 7 content was lost during the update. However, if the content is still on your hard drive, then please refer to the tutorial below which explains how to re-link iClone 7 content to iClone 8. Hopefully this will resolve the problem for you.

You can certainly have all your iClone 8 and CC4 content in one folder which is called "Reallusion Templates". However, this meant when iClone 8 was first installed that you had to re-install all your iClone 7 content again directly into iClone 8. Of course, many users didn't want to have to re-install everything again so we also gave the option to link your iClone 7 and CC3 folders to iClone 8 which seems to be what you did.

If you want to ensure you keep all your iClone 8 and CC4 content in one folder, then it may be wise to remove the link and take the time to install your content directly in iClone 8. You don't need to do this in one go but you can install each pack as you need it. This is what I did and I have not encountered any problems since.

I found the issue. User error. It was a filter that was activated by default after the upgrade.

I have contacted support and found the issue. When the update was done there was a only a check mark next to uninstalled instead of all. So I only saw a hand full of my content. I changed the check mark to all and all my content was back. Thanks to the support team for help they gave me. I had never thought to look in the menu button. I just kept clicking on the refresh button and nothing was happening. 75% of original size (was 670x19) - Click to enlargehttps://forum.reallusion.com/uploads/images/0fd25d6e-c76d-45b9-bc5a-34dd.png
