Hi, so I'm trying to animate a wireframe head and I would like to remove the tongue, inner mouth and eyeballs meshes that are inside the head. Is that possible within iClone 8?

Easiest way is just to turn the textures transparency to 0 (I do this all the time). You can also hide the meshes.

Thank you for the response but I can't find a "transparency" option to adjust under the "Material" section. I'm using the CC3 base character. Also, I did use a "black" opacity map in the texture settings but results in the same issue. Is there a tutorial you can point me to?

Opacity maps would not actually hide wireframe. Hiding inner mesh in Edit mode is a pain. If you do not need to have a "see through" wireframe, then enable wireframe on shaded and then apply a fully black map (you may copy metallic) to all body parts. You may want to convert DHS to PBR first. It is going to look something like that:

I also made this wireframe skin a few years back: https://forum.reallusion.com/FindPost451185.aspxIt was made for CC3 base. But you may apply it to CC3 neutral base and then convert it to CC3+ and then convert DHS to PBR. Then save the skin and apply to any character. Color of wireframe is easy to change with diffuse color for all body parts.

Hi, a couple questions... - regarding "Hiding inner mesh in Edit mode is a pain". I'm in the learning process so is there a tutorial that would explain how to do this? - I tried to apply your skin and I keep getting the same message no matter which base I use (I don't see a "Standard Character" )... I currently use the latest version of the software. Again, if there is a video or step by step somewhere I would appreciate it, I am very new to this software Thanks!

Hmm, so I checked and in iClone 8/CC4 even the CC3 meshes have been converted to CC3+.. Being a new user, I don't assume you have iClone 7 or CC3. Maybe 4u2ges will be so kind to create a CC3+ version. I could do it, but I don't think it's appropriate without his permission.

I will not be at my PC for a few days. But I did try the routine I described before leaving. You have to load a CC3 Neutral Base from the menu at the top. Not from Content. Then drag-drop the wireframe skin over that character (I did not try enclosed eyes). Then convert to CC3+. When converted, it will be fully transparent and you would need to switch all DHS to PBR. Then save skin as Overall. Now you should be able to apply saved skin to any CC3+. About hiding inner mesh, I will not make a tutorial, sorry. It's a PITA and just a waste of time. CC brushes just do not work on back faces (l asked about it in FT a long time ago).
