I installed the trial version of the Faceware plugin to test it the other day.
The CodeMeter Runtime kit was installed with this plugin.
I think this software was installed to check the validity of the "faceware" license.
Anyway, when I was done with the plugin, I uninstalled the plugin.
I barely uninstalled CodeMeter from my computer.
CodeMeter had to terminate Windows Explorer before it could remove itself from the computer.
Normally, no program uninstalled from the computer will terminate Windows explorer, except for system programs.

There are many articles that Codemeter can be used for malicious purposes if desired.

Why is using Codemeter to check Faceware license.
I am not saying that he is using the software for malicious purposes, but he can use it for malicious purposes whenever he wants.
I use domain, server and a ton of passwords on this computer and any suspicious program is dangerous for me.
I use dozens of apps and no program checks their licenses that way.

As Faceware is a third party product RL has no say over this. Maybe bring this to the attention of Faceware if you haven't done so already.
