When actors are sitting and talking, often the only thing they need to do is shift a little or move their arms. Motion puppet, with masking, speed control and exaggeration control, is PERFECT for this, but comes sparsely populated.

Also take advantage of the sliders in the preset tab in the Motion Puppet to adjust the overall pose.
There is also a way to add more motions to the Motion Puppet. Takes a little setup.

Great tutorial, Rampa. It also helps if you make sure the new clip you want to insert in motion puppet is loopable. Otherwise, you might have a surprise. Also, make sure that you save your clip as an .iMotion file, not .rlMotion. The latter didn’t work for me.

If the motion file is long enough, looping might not matter. One thing I don't like about motion puppet is indeed the looping. I find myself slowing down the motion more than I'd like to avoid the loop.
