Hello everyone,

we made another movie inside IClone 7 and again tried to push IClone to its limits, which was partially mind boggling.
The film is based on the main idea of the Resident Evil video game series. Our story takes place after the game series (Resident Evil Village). The voices of the characters were again recorded by Resident Evil fans / players, which accounted for the different sound quality of the voices. There are certainly some errors here and there, but we tried to create a qualitative film that was as error-free as possible using only IClone 7 (without Unreal Engine etc.).
The film is again a bit action-heavy and comes with a few swear words, which was based on the game series in order to convey the same "flair" of the game series. The movie might be a bit hard to understand if you don't know the prequel to the franchise (our movie Resident Evil: Resurgence is sort of a prequel to it too).

For those who would like to know what exactly was worked with:
Software:
- CC3: Character models, LOD objects and skinweight
- IClone 7: Environments, face animations (MotionPuppet) and editing of mocap animations, camera work, final render
- Blender: Editing of some models and partial rigging of props
- Sketchfab: Some free props were used by Sketchfab to save time
- Davinci Resolve: editing, sound and overlay VFX
- Perception Neuron: Mocap animations of the characters
- Gimp: texture editing
- Goldwave: Sound FX editing

Hardware:
CPU: Intel i7-8700K @3.70GHZ
GPU: GTX 1080TI
RAM: 32GB
(So also possible without Super Computer)

Mocap: Perception Neuron Studio

Both positive and negative criticism is welcomed. So let your thoughts run free.

We are now making our 3rth Resident Evil movie and aim to complete it 06.2023 - 10.2023

This is awesome , haven't seen the whole movie yet but the IClone Render quality is amazing , first I thought it was rendered in Blender.
Mocaps and facials are well done too. Great work ! 👍

I never thought a full length movie could be made in iClone, you not only managed to accomplish that task but nailed it. Haven't watched it full but from what I saw you really pushediClone to its limits. Great job!!!

It's so good to finally see that Iclone is more than enough to create very good quality scenes.
I can assure you without any mistake that Iclone 8 is even better with its volumetric lights, reflective surfaces, motion blur and now accessible new particles on the store.
Well done and congratulations!!

Very Cool!

I didn't know there were other RE fans who made iClone content! You both should be very proud! The amount of work that must have taken is inspiring for sure. It's especially impressive that you did it all in iClone without the need to port everything to several other programs!  Bravo!

@rosuckmedia

Thank you so much for your feedbacks. Glad you liked it.

@Atlier:
I would really like to see some of your Resident Evil videos. We are obsessed with RE.

@mtakerkart:
IClone 8 has some improvements but these are locked behind a paywall.
Volumetric Lighting, Motionblending, the abbility to isolate specific props and avatars from lighting (this and volumetric lighting are the best new features), and other small upgrades. At this point we will not switch to IClone 8. As you can see, even IClone 7 has the abbility to make some good results, even if not perfect.

Yo, cool and well done!
Did not watch it entirely but what I saw was quite impressive, esp. for a two man band!

That's a pretty cool video, kudos to all involved for doing all this work and sharing it.

And extra kudos for the soundtrack, I don't know where you did find all those amazing cover songs, but they give your movie this special "Tarantino" vibe. Good choices!
