So here it is. I picked up an "easy" humanoid, which does not require vertexes merge between head/body meshes.
(some Blender experience required).

To those who are interested, I have included SSS shaders for CC3+ Head and in addition for Body, Arms, Legs (in case you only wish to add some sort of non-standard Limbs to CC3+ characters).
Note: those are only valid for Standard CC3+ topology Base.

To apply it to the respective CC3+ Humanoid materials, load it, but uncheck "Materials settings and Texture" at the prompt so that the main material texture is not wiped out.
Only specific SSS Shader texture and parameters settings would be loaded in this case. Shader textures are embedded in .iMtl in case you wonder (not linked).

SSS shaders are no match for DHS and have only limited texture slots. For instance, there is no slot for the Blend Base and Blend Normal maps among the others (specifically for the Head).
A little creativity could help though. In an example below I have used a Blend texture map from the head DHS in the main material Blend channel (as an Overlay).
And for Blend Normal, I did overlay it to the base normal map in Photoshop. Of course you may only control the amount of normal Blend in Photoshop or such.

Blend maps are not included to the attached shaders though.
You have to do them on your own using those from here (or making a custom):

So the result might look like this Humanoid with CC3+ Head...

Still, I wish we DID NOT loose the ability to apply DHS materials to any surface, which was taken away from us after IC 7.7 I believe
