Hi All,
hope you all are doing great! First of all I am really happy with the actorcore system. Saves loads of time and effort.
For a project we would like to use actorcore actors in unity and drive the faceshapes with iPhones ARkit functionality.
We got it working and it is a pretty nice setup. Even better there is a full ARKit ready setup for the blendshapes.
However there are 2 things that stop the fun.
1. The bone directon and therefore mesh direction of the eyes is incorrect.
The eye direction is negative Y while the expected eye direction is positive Z. This makes it imposible to set the orientation correct.
With negative Y the Eye will roll over its staring direction.
2. The lower gums and jaws are not driven by the ARKit blendshapes. or maybe this is due to the fact they are skinned to the jawbone.
A really amazing solution would be that there is an option to download the actors with blendshapes but without the face bones.
And that the blendshapes for the eye direction also include the eye ball direction. Same for the open mouth blendshape including the lowergums and teeth.
I know this can be done manually but it breaks a possibly fluent pipeline.
Cheers!
