Right now their is no way to blend hand gestures. It is either 100 percent or nothing. We need a way to be able to blend hand gestures. 2 possible solution  (1) A weight slider  (2) it can be added to the animation layer.  

In addition the ability to break the layer. That way can blend layers together.

Yes can blend the beginning and ending  of the hands gesture. But you cant reduce the amount overall with A weight slider  in the  animation layer.
