This has been discussed in the past and unfortunately it seemed that there was no workable solution at the time.

It would be best if there was an actual Lightwave user around, but as there is virtually no discussion here of using Lightwave, I'm not very hopeful.

I actually imported an Accurigged FBX of a sketch fab Character into my Old seat of Lightwave 2015.
I do not even bother to try to pose/animate it  as LW is effectively Necroware at this point
However it seemed to import as weighted/rigged figure.

I stand corrected the Accurig FBX sent to 
lightwave are completely detached from their skeletons so you would have to re weight them in Lightwave.
If you have 3DX pipeline you can export an alembic from Iclone to lightwave but have fun sorting out the textures.

Honestly I do not see why anyone is still trying to use Lightwave in 2022 ( priced $995 USD)
Particularly consider the free options like Blender and the game engines.
