Hi everyone, i need the help of someone with patience and a good soul. After watching the 2 live session about importing "any" character into CC4 i was left a bit disappointed honestly. It seems like Reallusion struggles to find a way to give proper tutorials on how to make things. The characters Kai imported had barely any issues or no issues at all, so there was little to nothing to show about fixes and workaround for importing issues.
I have this character i created and rigged in Blender using Human Metarig as suggested by reallusion (pity i couldn't use other rigging addons like Auto-Rig Pro, and if i can it's not exactly clear how to have the rigging properly recognized). As soon as i import it i can already see problems if i give it a random animation. Arms crossed, center of gravity of the body completely off, floor contact totally off. The only thing which was shown in the live session was the floor contact adjustment so i adjusted it and managed to get the character touching the floor with its feet. Then i checked the "Pose offset" menu and from there i could manage to adjust the arms not crossing anymore and fixed the center of gravity too. Problem is that i have to redo this stuff everytime i change animation. So i thought i must be doing something wrong and need more knowledge about the various menus available for rigging in CC4.
I also set the the T-pose hoping it would have helped, but it didn't change a thing.
Can anybody direct me to the right way to fix these issues upon importing custom characters from Blender to CC4?
Thanks in advance for any helphttps://forum.reallusion.com/uploads/images/0e0a7a57-f31d-4087-8408-c4f7.jpghttps://forum.reallusion.com/uploads/images/bc5ad552-1002-4f6c-825b-972b.jpg

I find that meta-rig imports don't assign the bones in the spine, shoulders and neck. Which causes all sorts of strangeness in the arms and legs. Once they are assigned in the Characterization panel, it seems to fix all the problems.

As for ARP, you can use the ARP export function to export as a humanoid/Unity character which strips out all the control rig bones and exports a clean skeleton. It doesn't automatically set any bones up in CC4, but it's not hard to do by hand. And when you've done it once, you can save out the profile and re-use for future ARP characters.
