i was able to see my content manager window, but it no longer opens...either from the window menu, or by hitting the F4 key...what did i do wrong?

You don't mention which software you are using, and you've posted a technical/Help question in the wrong Forum area - this area is for new members to introduce themselves and not for help questions.

Anyway, please post a screen shot of the software exactly like the one below so that we may be able to see your setup.
