Hi. I'm in need of a window glass prop which appears to break/shatter, or some instruction on how to make my own. I've seen a few examples or illusions in movies but 'my brain just won't work'. Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Wolf had a very cool shattered window prop that uses a video file as a freebie for one of their shows. Take a look at the W&D show thread and you should see it in there (check the 2/8/2010 post in that thread). listen to the show, get the phrase that pays and email wolf.

Freebie stock video footage, or Warlord's destructibles (does he do glass?), or there's at least one free shatter plugin for Max.

Perhaps fake it in Photoshop - the right special effect plugin and render 30 frames at different stages of shatter, then compile to a video.

After Effects may have a plugin for that, maybe also for Truespace, Blender?

Of course I break glass Gizmo! I break anything... even when I don't want to. Gizmo has been politely pushing me (towards a cliff :D) so I finally finished it up and its now available in The iR Store with video to show what it can do.

There is plenty of room for more destructibles, breakables or whatever. How many ways can you break something? About as many ways as you have time to try. I'm sure Mike will come up with great props and I hope my work will compliment his. There will never be enough windows, walls or whatever broken the way everyone will want them so the more the merrier.

Gizmo had the idea for the pack months ago and Mike's post certainly got my butt in gear to finish it. :cool:
