Sometimes when I'm trying to animate I need to see multiple items in the time line.
I add them. They show up on the time line. Groovy.
I click 1 to adjust and the others disappear off the time line.
What gives?
Is there a special key, mantra, of ju ju you have to use to keep the items on the timeline?

Thanks!

When you apply something to the timeline make sure to lit this anchor to freeze the object on a timeline (a new feature for iClone 8).

75% of original size (was 670x19) - Click to enlargehttps://forum.reallusion.com/uploads/images/72171209-42ed-4b0b-b441-19e2.jpg

But personally, I got used to a different technique. I keep "Object Related Track" in OFF state at all times (grayed out).

This way, when you select something in the Scene Manager it is not applied to the timeline.
If you need to bring an object to the timeline, you click "Track Menu List" (icon to the left from "Object Related Track") and select what you need on the timeline.

Or do what I usually keep doing for years:
* Make sure "Object Related Track" is OFF
* Select an object (or a group of objects) in Scene manager.
* Click "Object Related Track" ON and immediately OFF (sort of double click).
This way nothing is applied to the timeline when you work with scene manager and you are in full control what you need to have at the timeline.

I prefer the simple selection method in iClone 7. I've always found the object drop-down list in the timeline quite unusable. Its display also seems to broken in iClone 8.

But thanks for the Freeze tip, that's helpful.

True, I never use myself either. Don't know why they still keep it there in current form.... :ermm:

OMG! Thank you so much.
My sanity is saved. Time to kill it with a celebratory beer. :)
